These workshops are now available for 1 on 1 tutoring. 

Essential Skills Lab – Reading and Writing

Participants will be provided essential skill level locators, and work as part of facilitated group or individually to develop essential skills for reading and using workplace documents. Participants will gain familiarity and practical experience with Canadian signs, memos, letters, faxes, emails, forms, receipts, invoices, etc. from Essential Skills.

Professional Communications (Integrated Skills)

Participants will receive practice completing workplace tasks that combine communication skills: preparing for an interview, preparing a resume and cover letter, making phone calls, taking messages, relaying messages, composing follow-ups using email, fax, or document attachments.

Info-Sessions – Navigating Online Resources                

Hands-on guided sessions for newcomers seeking to navigate complex government sites to fill out online forms and applications, and learn more about available online resources.

Tutoring – Exam Preparation

Participants will receive tutoring to prepare for exams for Canadian Citizenship, IELTS, as well as workplace certifications such as FoodSafe, WHMIS, and SuperHost.
