Computer Tutoring Available for Newcomers

  • Wanting to learn more about using computers to keep in touch with friends and family?
  • Looking for work online and want to know more about using the web?
  • Want an individualized study plan to feel more comfortable using the web and email?
  • Need help with preparing, saving and emailing resumes, applications, forms, and letters?

We are now providing individualized learning plans for new immigrants daytime or evening sessions that are 1 0n 1 or in small groups of up to 4 people. We provide skills training for newcomers to feel more confident and comfortable working with computers and the Internet to help you reach your goals.

Learn how to compose and send emails with files to friends and family. Tutoring covers Email Netiquette and safety and provides help to compose, reply to and forward emails, attach documents, add links, create and manage email folders, and customize email settings.

This topic will help you become more confident to install and uninstall programs, customize your printer settings, understand files and folders, organize files in My Documents and on the USB drive.

Everyone needs a solid background with using Word for use at home, in community organizations at school and at work. Formatting basics, and tips on printing and saving your documents.
